We plant not only seeds but also dreams.
Our vision is to grow the dream like the beanstalk in the story.

Nisshin shokai Co., Ltd. Put down roots in Tochigi in 1945, at the time of the evacuation from Yokohama. We specialize in Nisshin OilliO, Ltd (OilliO) products mainly and JT Foods Co., Ltd. Products such as seasonings and frozen foods. We have expanded our business in Japanese traditional foods and in domestic soybean supplements for food producers, and have developed our import business using our accumulated special knowledge and the strength of our local sales network . In the old tale, a few beans planted in the ground produced a great beanstalk that grew to the sky, finally bringing happiness to the boy Jack. What will be the future of this seed planted? Like the beanstalk, this company has grown and spread widely from its first roots. We at Nisshin Shokai hope to keep the story going on fruitfully harvest to harvest.

Oil & seasoning

Crisp deep fry and fresh green salad with tasty dressing,
A good quality of oil brings out the delicious flavor of the ingredients.
OilliO imports ingredients including soybeans, rapeseed, sesame seed, olives and safflower from all over the world to produce fine oils, using its hundred-year-old process.

Nisshin shokai Co., Ltd. was established in 1949 as an agency of NOM(at that time). We deal with a wide range of Nisshin OilliO products from edible oils to grain and fertilizer. Since unsaturated fatty acid has been realized to be linked with a possible role in promoting human health, products using sesame oil, olive oil and safflower oil, and health-functional oil such as medium chain fatty acids that can help prevent accumulation of body fat, are being popular. Our belief is that we should be knowledgeable about products, chemistry, biology, dietics and food-processing to build a bridge between customers and producers. Because of this belief , we have worked to accumulate such knowledge needful for producing useful products. We will continue progressing as specialists in order to meet our customers' various needs.

Soy protein & margarine

We deal with OilliO products, such as processed oils and fats, soy protein, meals and as well as double-processed vegetable oil products like margarine. Shortening is a representative product of processed oil and fat, and gives the crunchy taste to cookies. Soy protein is an indispensable ingredient now a days. It is used all around for processed marine products, processed stock farm products, bread and instant noodles. We handle different forms of soy protein for various uses. Constantly our team works on "research and development" in case the market doesn't have the product to satisfy consumers' demands.

Frozen food

The frozen food market has expanded because of its convenience and preservability. At JT Foods Co., Ltd. Stable good quality ingredients are chosen and cooked in a hygienic environment and preserved at an appropriate temperature. They develop many products to cover various needs. Frozen hamburg, called " The Sunburg" became a big hit in 1972. It is still a popular school lunch item which has been evaluated according to its high nutritional value along with Asahi Foods Co., Ltd. (At present, JT Foods Co., Ltd.) since the 1960'sCnot long after Asahi Chemical Industry Corp. joined the food industry. JT Foods Co., Ltd. Is one of the largest domestic producers of catering seasonings.

Grain development & import

The soybean has traditionally provided us with unique processed foodstuff such as tofu, natto, miso and shoyu for daily use.
North America is the largest soybean producing, exporting region. We cooperate with a wide range of domestic and American agricultural participants from specialized research organizations to farmers to manage the development of import routes for high quality soybean.

The soybean is a representative grain such as wheat and corn. It is the most highly produced bean in the world but most of the output is for oils. According to a cooking researchers' data, there are thirty three different ways of cooking with the soybean in Japan. The quantity and quality of protein should be a concern for Japanese traditional food, but the soybeans from domestic production dose not fill up Japanese consumers' demand under present conditions. We cooperate with grain trader and farmers in the United States to grow soybean. We visit farms at every strategic time to produce high grade soybean in the farms. We also work with soybean research laboratories and which are sometimes public or private, so as to import the traits through breeding and biotechnology.

Profile

We set up a "radar antenna" capable of keeping track of industry trends, consumers' taste and needs and other valuable information in order to offer the most suitable products to our customers. We work so that our efforts as a coordinator of distribution will lead to all participants' profit.
